This was my first foyer into the world of high fidelity sound systems, and I was instantly hooked. At the Sound Room I worked the sales floor, which gave me an opportunity to interact with many audiophile grade products. I was able to experience for myself what the differences were in speakers of different price ranges and different companies. I learned many valuable lessons while working here, the first was that everyone listens their own unique way, and that no matter how much you like a certain pair of speakers, not everyone else will. I also got the opportunity to interact with people and show them different products that would best suite their needs, not necessarily the biggest or most expensive speaker, but the one that they will be happy with. It was here at the Sound Room where I fully began to appreciate music and the truly awe inspiring effect that quality loudspeakers had at conveying the emotion of that music, this was the beginning of my hobby of building my own loudspeakers.
I also got to install some home entertainment systems, which was a fun and interesting skill to learn and master. Everything from home theaters to simple surround systems all had their own special needs to be careful of, a skill I still carry out in my everyday life.
